Their objective is to connect the fund management industry to improve investment decisions by providing timely and accurate data. They offer technology solutions, research, analysis, and an international network for fund managers, distributors, and financial advisers, contributing to industry transparency and efficiency.
FinDatEx
FinDatEx promotes the standardization of financial and ESG data across the European fund industry. By providing common templates—including MiFID, PRIIPs, Solvency II and the European ESG Template (EET)—it facilitates efficient, transparent and machine-readable data exchange. The initiative helps market participants ensure regulatory compliance, reduce operational complexity and build a shared understanding of financial and sustainability information.
Openfunds
The openfunds standard is an open, extensible, and cost-free standard for the characterization of investment funds. It facilitates the error-free exchange and validation of fund data while eliminating ambiguity and misinterpretation. It is the goal of the openfunds standard to improve the quality and efficiency in the dissemination of fund data while providing for a common understanding of the information it contains. The use of the openfunds standard is available to the global fund industry without obligation.
