Purpose

A Software Quality Engineer at AMINDIS is responsible for participating on our teams as a test engineer. The focus is to assure the entire team adopts a quality mindset and implements best practices to improve team performance in order to deliver high quality products as a result. This person will be involved with the entire product lifecycle – requirements, design, review and coding, and testing.  This person will work closely with the developers, client services and professional services to collaborate and solve business problems in a development and test environment.

 

Essential Responsibilities

• Help shape products by providing input on user stories and designs and by giving feedback on usability.

• Implement automated and manual test cases with a focus on validating complex calculations, functional scenarios, performance, scalability, and usability

• Work on a cross-functional team participating in planning of product release delivery.

• Develop and execute test plans and work with other team members to implement the plan

• Contribute to the documentation of the new functionalities developed

• Seek constant self-improvement, our products, our software development process, and the team’s performance.

• Manage time efficiently and track individual progress towards performance goals

 

Qualifications

• Master degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience required

Essential Skills

• Relational database experience is preferred

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Exceptional communication, presentation, organizational and teamwork skills with strong desire and ability to deliver results

• Escalate issues appropriately to the next level

• Work well with others as individual contributor

• Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills required

• Must possess exceptional organization skills

• Ability to deal professionally and courteously with internal contacts

• Ability to multitask, strong attention to detail, self-motivated willingness to take initiative
